About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Blockchain Developer with a strong backend focus to join their innovative team in Polokwane . This role will involve developing and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our blockchain applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You will work on integrating blockchain technology with existing systems and building robust APIs. This position operates under a hybrid model, allowing for both remote work and in-office collaboration at our Polokwane location. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for blockchain applications.
• Integrate blockchain technology with existing enterprise systems and databases.
• Implement and optimize smart contracts and related backend logic.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of blockchain infrastructure.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to deliver complete solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backend and blockchain systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural design discussions.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in blockchain technology and backend development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development using languages such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with blockchain technologies and protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger).
• Familiarity with smart contract development and integration.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of blockchain security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
