Blockchain Research and Innovation Lead

You will monitor blockchain networks, protocols, standards, dApps, wallets, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. You will assess competitors and third-party services, identify product opportunities, recommend supported capabilities, manage the research backlog, and work with Product and Engineering to turn research into implementation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the blockchain ecosystem, including networks, protocols, standards, dApps, wallets, infrastructure, and emerging technologies
• Track competitor wallets and identify important features, integrations, and technical developments
• Research blockchain capabilities and translate them into product opportunities
• Define which networks, protocols, standards, and smart-contract capabilities to support
• Evaluate third-party blockchain services and define integration approaches
• Own the blockchain research and innovation backlog from research through technical recommendations
• Work with Product and Engineering to turn research into implementation

Requirements

• Deep technical understanding of blockchain architecture and smart contracts
• Strong knowledge of ERC, EIP, and BIP standards
• Hands-on background in smart-contract development, blockchain engineering, or technical blockchain research
• Strong understanding of major blockchain networks, protocols, infrastructure providers, and cross-chain solutions
• Experience integrating blockchain services into real products
• Experience building blockchain projects or working for a crypto or Web3 company
• Ability to research complex technologies independently and make clear technical recommendations
• Product mindset
