Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) - Full Time Guaranteed 40 Hours

Responsibilities

The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) / Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) provides high-quality, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and adolescents in their home environments. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA/BCBA), the BCaBA supports and conducts treatment implementation, RBT/BT supervision and coaching, caregiver training, data review, direct client care and ongoing clinical monitoring.

This role serves as a key clinical bridge between the supervising BCBA and the RBTs/BTs providing day-to-day services. The BCaBA works closely with families, RBTs, BCBAs, and other providers to ensure consistent, integrated, whole-child care.

Clinical Implementation & Treatment Support

• Design and implement individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of the supervising BCBA.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of client skills, behavior, progress, and treatment needs under the supervision of the supervising BCBA.
• Review client data regularly and identify trends, barriers to progress, and potential needs for program modification.
• Make clinical recommendations to the supervising BCBA based on direct observation and data.

Direct & Indirect Clinical Services

• Provide up to 10-20 hours per week of direct ABA care to children and adolescents based on clinical and organizational needs.
• Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and clinical support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) in accordance with BACB, Virginia licensure, payer, and organizational requirements.
• Model treatment procedures, conduct or support competency assessments, and provide real-time performance feedback.
• Monitor treatment integrity and fidelity of implementation in home and telehealth settings.

Caregiver & Family Training

• Deliver structured caregiver training consistent with the client treatment plan and under BCBA supervision.
• Collaborate with families to embed strategies into daily routines and natural environments.
• Provide coaching on behavior support, communication strategies, skill development, and environmental modifications.

Interdisciplinary Care Coordination

• Coordinate clinically with other providers involved in the client care, including:
• • Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)
  • Occupational Therapists (OTs)
  • Psychiatrists and Psychologists
  • Primary Care Providers and other members of the medical team
  • School-based teams (IEP teams, special education teachers)
  • Case managers and care coordinators
• Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate.
• Support alignment of ABA interventions with communication, sensory, medical, educational, and family goals.
• Support continuity of care across home, school, and community settings.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with:
• • BACB requirements and ethical standards
  • Virginia Board of Medicine requirements for Licensed Assistant Behavior Analysts
  • Medicaid and commercial payer requirements
• Maintain accurate client data, supervision records, and documentation to support treatment integrity and measurable outcomes.

Quality & Professional Standards

• Practice within the BCaBA/LABA scope of competence and under required BCBA/LBA supervision.
• Maintain BCaBA certification, Virginia LABA licensure, required continuing education, and supervision.
• Stay current with evidence-based and neuro-affirming practices in autism and related developmental disorders.
• Contribute to clinical training and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification in good standing.
• Bachelor degree meeting applicable BCaBA certification requirements.
• Current or eligible for Virginia licensure as a Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA).
• Experience providing ABA services to children or adolescents; home-based experience preferred.
• Experience supervising, training, or coaching RBTs/BTs and providing services or supervision via telehealth preferred.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong caregiver coaching and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation for home visits throughout the Richmond area.
