Body EE Integration Engineer

Job Description

To support RD China strategy of maximally utilizing local eco-system, as well as to speed up the development cycles, our local EE development team is engaging in providing best fit solution for all localized MB carline projects.

Thus, we are looking for experienced and passionate system integration engineer to strengthen local development & localization activities from system/component concept validation to production ramp-up and product release.

1. Responsible for Build-up, operation and maintenance of cluster HIL body comfort systems RD China.

2. Lead the HiL build-up focused on China specific systems with the specialist team and the relevant cross-function teams.

3. Responsible for HW conception, Test framework and modeling of the Cluster-HiL.

4. Responsible for continuous development validation of the relevant systems and support the system software release approval (ready for vehicle testing)

5. Accomplish the tasks assigned by management team.

Tasks

1. Cluster HiL setup requirement definition and management

  • Clarify test demands and requirements with the relevant local system and component teams.

  • Define cluster HiL hardware and software requirements with support from RD Germany.

  • Monitor and conduct competitive analysis of HiL technologies in the local market, and align findings with RD Germany.

  • Build and manage the complete HiL setup with support from HiL suppliers as needed.

2. Cluster HiL model development

  • Define the car line– and system-specific HiL model, including the test framework, with support from RD Germany and suppliers as needed.

  • Implement, adapt, and maintain the HiL model throughout the product development and lifecycle phases.

  • Commission and manage the HiL model

3. Test cases management, execution, troubleshooting

  • Clarify system test requirements for the relevant system with the responsible system engineers and BTVs.

  • Create test cases for manual and automated system integration tests, as well as digital validation with a focus on end-to-end (E2E) testing.

  • Execute defined test cases and evaluate the results.

  • Troubleshoot and analyze identified issues together with the responsible system or component engineers as needed.

  • Support the reproduction of system-specific field issues from vehicle tests, production, and after-sales activities to identify root causes.

  • Support UI testing for relevant system features as needed.

4. System release approval

  • Collaborate closely with the responsible system engineers, function owners, EE system speakers, BTVs, suppliers, and the car line project lead, as well as other cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure system and software approval in accordance with the relevant release plan.
