About Us
Indie Campers is the global leader in road-trip travel, operating one of the largest campervan and RV fleets worldwide. With a growing presence across Europe, North America, and Oceania, we are a fast-scaling company on a mission to make travel more connected, meaningful, and accessible to everyone.
The Branch Operations Manager (City Lead) plays a vital role in delivering this mission locally by ensuring high-quality rental operations, seamless service coordination, and a consistent, customer-centric experience. As the on-site leader, you will drive operational excellence, team performance, and the overall customer journey while acting as the bridge between global standards and local execution.
The Role
As Branch Operations Manager, you will have full responsibility for the daily operations and performance of our Reykjavik depot. While remaining highly hands-on (60–70% of your time), you will also take ownership of the team's performance, operational efficiency, and financial results.
Reporting directly to the District Manager, you will lead the local team and ensure the depot consistently delivers an outstanding customer experience while operating in a cost-effective and high-performing manner.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end performance of the city depot across Rental and Servicing operations.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the local operational team, including shift planning, task allocation, and performance feedback.
• Be a culture setter and lead by example.
• Track daily KPIs and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are consistently followed.
• Monitor vehicle availability and proactively reduce downtime, including performing repairs when necessary.
• Manage depot costs, including consumables and rework prevention, while maintaining disciplined cost control.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of RVs for sales appointments.
• Ensure operational excellence and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience while maintaining high operational standards.
What We're Looking For
• 7-10 years of experience in fast-paced operations, logistics, rental, hospitality, or customer-facing environments.
• Strong hands-on operational mindset with the ability to step into daily depot activities whenever required.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks during busy operational periods.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during peak seasons.
• Valid Category B Driving Licence.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Norwegian language skills are a plus but not required.
Practical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move light-to-moderate loads (10–15 kg).
• Comfortable standing, walking, and moving throughout the depot for extended periods.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs when required.
What We Offer
• ✈️ Flight to Iceland covered by the company as part of your relocation support.
• 🌍 The opportunity to live and work in one of Europe's most unique and breathtaking destinations.
• 🚀 A key leadership role in a fast-growing global company operating across Europe, North America, and Oceania.
• 📈 Career development opportunities within Field Operations and the possibility to transition to our offices in Lisbon, Mexico City, or Manila.
• 📚 Continuous training and coaching to help you develop the skills that matter most.
• 💰 Competitive compensation package including Performance and Referral Bonuses.
• 🚐 Free Road Trips so you can experience Indie Campers across Europe, North America, and Oceania.
• 🤝 A dynamic, international, and innovative work environment where your contributions make a real impact from day one.
