Business Analysis Lead

Business Analysis LeadThe Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Business Analysis Lead to work across a complex business environment, identifying business problems, defining requirements and helping scope and implement effective solutions.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, developers and testers to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements. You will also play an important role in improving business processes, supporting change initiatives and guiding other Business Analysts.
Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business users to gather, analyse and document requirements.
• Ensure business requirements are sufficiently detailed to support technical design and testing documentation.
• Develop functional specifications for system enhancements and development.
• Support the creation of technical specifications that translate user requirements for development and project teams.
• Scope projects effectively and identify key dependencies.
• Analyse existing workflows and develop process maps to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate testing of system enhancements and developments.
• Support the development of business improvement cases, including expected benefits and investment considerations.
• Support the preparation of training documentation where required.
• Work closely with onshore and offshore developers and testers.
• Help navigate ambiguity, define a path forward and support delivery toward the desired target state.
• Mentor and lead other Business Analysts where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across Business Analysis practices and delivery processes.

About You You will bring relevant Business Analysis experience and be comfortable working across both business and technology teams.
Ideally, you will have:

• Experience leading analysis in complex or ambiguous environments.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills.
• Experience developing functional specifications and supporting technical specifications.
• Experience with process mapping and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of mainstream IT technologies and architectures.
• Experience working within systems development lifecycle (SDLC) environments.
• Experience working across multi-vendor delivery environments.
• Experience supporting projects and change initiatives across different delivery approaches.
• Experience mentoring or leading other Business Analysts.
• Previous experience leading Business Analysis teams, chapters or practices would be highly regarded.
• A tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
