Business Analyst (Banking experience)
About the role
NCS Philippines is seeking a Business Analyst with banking experience to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technology solutions, translating complex banking processes into clear technical specifications that drive organisational success. Your expertise in the banking sector will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions that meet both current operational needs and future strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
Gather, analyse and document business requirements from banking stakeholders and translate them into detailed functional specifications
Conduct thorough process mapping and workflow analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement within banking operations
Collaborate with software developers, QA teams and system architects to ensure solutions align with business objectives
Develop use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
Perform system testing and validate that solutions meet documented business requirements
Provide post-implementation support and training to banking end-users
Manage project scope, timelines and deliverables in coordination with project managers
Participate in stakeholder meetings to present findings, recommendations and project progress
Document and maintain comprehensive technical and functional documentation
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services sector (minimum 3-5 years recommended)
Strong understanding of banking processes, products and regulatory compliance requirements
Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation and analysis methodologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with business analysis tools and software (such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar platforms)
Knowledge of system development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Familiarity with banking systems such as core banking platforms, payment systems or digital banking solutions is highly desirable
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or relevant qualifications would be advantageous
