Summary
A mostly remote Business Analyst role (Brisbane-based) combining business analysis with financial planning processes and the Salesforce ecosystem. Day to day: gathering requirements, writing user stories, managing backlogs, and coordinating Agile sprints to deliver Salesforce enhancements and automation.
Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 per year
Business Analyst – Financial Planning & Salesforce
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in a mostly remote capacity. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business analysis skills with hands-on experience in financial planning processes and the Salesforce ecosystem.
You will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, manage delivery priorities, and support successful project execution.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Gather, analyse, and document business requirements and functional specifications
* Translate stakeholder needs into user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
* Manage and prioritise the product backlog in alignment with business goals
* Coordinate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities
* Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and remove blockers
* Support delivery of Salesforce enhancements, integrations, and process improvements
* Analyse financial planning workflows and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation
* Ensure solutions meet business objectives, quality standards, and timelines
* Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
* Strong experience with Financial Planning processes
* Proven experience working with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or related platforms)
* Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery methodologies
* Experience managing product backlogs and sprint cycles
* Ability to write clear functional specs, user stories, and process documentation
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience working with remote and cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.

* Salesforce certifications
* Experience with integrations, APIs, or reporting tools
* Background in SaaS, finance, or enterprise systems transformation
