IT Business Analyst – Research Domain

6-Month Contract | $800–$1,000 per day | Sydney

We're currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading organisation's Research team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded generalist Business Analyst with a strong blend of business analysis, IT, and process improvement experience. You'll play a key role in translating business needs within the research domain into practical technology solutions while working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable IT requirements.
• Support solution design and delivery activities.
• Develop process maps and document current and future-state business processes.
• Assist with the development of service catalogues as part of a broader operating model initiative.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Solutions Architect, and Human-Centred Design Specialist to deliver effective business outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous business process improvement initiatives.

About You

You'll be an experienced Business Analyst with:

• Strong business analysis experience across business and technology projects.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Experience in business process modelling and process improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience developing process documentation and operating model artefacts.
• Experience using ProMapp.

Contract Details

• Initial contract: 6 months
• Daily rate: $800–$1,000 per day
• Location: Sydney (hybrid working available)
