Business Analyst - Finance Operating Model
Summary
A 6-month contract Business Analyst role (outside IR35, £400/day, hybrid ~3 days/week in Liverpool) on a major Finance Operating Model programme. Day to day the analyst leads discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews, maps current finance processes and ownership, and supports target operating model design.

Requirements:- Strong business analysis experience within operating model design, organisational change, finance transformation, or business change
- Expertise in current-state assessments, process mapping, and ownership/RACI modelling
- Experience supporting target operating model and future-state design initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex environments
- Good understanding of finance processes, controls, ownership models, and cross-functional dependencies
- Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process reviews
- Map current ways of working across people, processes, governance, controls, systems, data, and reporting
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify pain points and clarify ownership and accountabilities
- Support target operating model design
- Help drive the transition to improved ways of working
- Ask the right questions and challenge constructively to identify unclear accountabilities or processes

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a major Finance Operating Model programme. This is a highly visible 6-month contract with a chance of extension, offered on a hybrid basis in Liverpool circa 3 days per week, at £400 per day outside IR35.
