Summary
Business Analyst models EU-government processes, elicits requirements, and documents workflows for Schengen-related ICT systems using BPMN/UML tools.
We are looking for a Business Analyst (m/f/n) to join our client's team carrying out a project for one of the EU institutions in Warsaw.
Offer:
Rate: up to 515 EUR/MD

Work model: hybrid (primarily remote, with the possibility of quickly commuting to the office in Warsaw)

Knowledge and skills:
Higher education
At least 8 years of experience in IT, at least 5 years experience at the similar position
Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution
Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation,
Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis,
Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model etc.)
Is proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
Presents excellent analytical and communication skills
Holds ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively
Presents problem solving skills
Specific requirements
Has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project(s) aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution that was part of or was querying Schengen Information System.
Has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project(s) aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution that enabled (1) scanning fingerprints (at least two (2) fingers) using NIST format or (2) scanning documents that have MRZ, e.g. passports, national IDs, driving license, visa stickers, residence permit or (3) scanning biometric documents that have RFID chip data, e.g. passports, national ID.
Has knowledge/experience in the area of Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments and Information Security Risk Assessment in the environment of EU Institutions, understands its challenges and methods for conducting effective analysis
Certificates:
At least 2 certifications among:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent
Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent
or equivalent certifications recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)

Models and documents value chain/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data.
Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements and user stories,
Supports business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development
Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories in systems lifecycle
Transfers business, users and technical needs into business requirements specification,
Maps business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, system features
Analyses available systems
Supports identification of options for potential solutions
Supports preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, change management.
Responsible for designing, validating, and testing business processes for achieving business process excellence
Responsible for taking a holistic approach in the planning and managing of a programmes for continuous improvements of business processes
Responsible for coaching staff on upcoming changes, ensuring that a plan is in place to teach new skills and/or process changes
Collaborates with owners of end-to-end processes to continually seek out process improvements
Identifies opportunities for business process improvement leading to improved customer service, lower costs, or higher revenue (effectiveness and efficiency gains)
Communicates project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to all stakeholders, in order to better provide rapid responses to business needs
Quantitatively analyses business processes, performing cost-benefit and what-if analysis
Plans organizational changes process
Implements performance monitoring systems for business processes
Supports business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g. sector strategies, implementation plans etc.)
Supports definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures
