JOB OVERVIEW
Plan A Technologies is looking for a Business Analyst to align business operations with technical execution for a major ERP implementation. This role is responsible for mapping current and future-state processes across key departments, building comprehensive end-to-end test scripts, and creating clear end-user documentation to ensure successful system adoption and compliance.
Please note: you must have at least 5+ years as a Business Analyst to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY & EXPERIENCE
Business Process Mapping
Facilitate working sessions with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, IT, and other business teams.
Document current-state (AS-IS) business processes, including process steps, roles, systems, handoffs, data inputs, outputs, and control points.
Identify process gaps, manual activities, duplicate work, and opportunities for standardization.
Support development of future-state (TO-BE) processes aligned with the selected ERP solution.
Maintain process maps, business requirements, decisions, and open issues throughout the implementation.
Testing and Test Script Development
Review standard test scripts provided by the ERP vendor or implementation partner.
Modify and expand test scripts so they reflect the actual business processes, roles, data, controls, and transaction scenarios.
Create additional business-process and end-to-end test scenarios where standard scripts do not provide sufficient coverage.
Define expected results and required test evidence.
Support System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and applicable validation testing.
Coordinate with business testers to ensure test scripts are understandable, executable, and complete.
Ensure critical end-to-end scenarios cover cross-functional processes such as purchasing, receiving, inventory movements, quality disposition, CMO/3PL transactions, and associated financial postings.
Work Instructions and End-User Documentation
Develop clear, step-by-step Work Instructions for business users.
Create Work Instructions based on approved future-state processes and configured ERP functionality.
Include system steps, screenshots, required data, roles.
Ensure Work Instructions are consistent with approved SOPs, business processes, and system configuration.
Coordinate review and approval of documentation with Process Owners, Quality, IT, and other stakeholders.
Maintain documentation through testing and implementation as system processes change.
Support development of quick-reference guides and other training materials as needed.
