Business Analyst (SOA Development and Maintenance Team)

Responsibilities:

• Manage business requirements for Business As Usual operations, resolve incidents and defects, and provide production support for the Integral Life system (IL – Core Functionals / Batches / Interfaces).

• Coordinate with vendors, in-house developers, and other system maintenance teams to deliver Change Requests and Defects.

• Ensure project objectives and requirements are achieved within the planned time and budget, and maintain systems for continuous and efficient use.

• Review Technical Design documents and program test results from the Test Team.

• Analyze and design systems according to user requirements, and consult users to propose alternative solutions and system standards.

• Gather user problems or requirements, jointly define guidelines, analyze problems, and design systems and integrations to respond to and resolve user issues.

• Monitor, fix, and maintain related programs or systems to ensure proper functionality.

• Support users by overseeing and coordinating the preparation of data, reports, and digital files as requested by internal or external departments.

• Provide advice and consultation to the team, and act as a mentor to less experienced staff in related tasks.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in business analysis and at least 1 year of experience in system analysis and design.

• At least 3-5 years of Business Analysis experience in Core Insurance (Life Business) systems.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership, communication, and team motivation skills to achieve objectives, and the ability to work well under pressure.

• Excellent skills in analytical thinking, operational planning, assigning responsibilities, controlling, tracking, evaluating, risk assessing, coordinating, and immediate problem-solving.

• Understanding of software development principles, techniques, methods, formats, and standards, with the ability to apply them appropriately.

• Ability to communicate in English.

• Understanding of insurance business flows, such as New Business, Underwriting, Billing, Claim, and POS.

• Skills in managing Change Requests, Incident Management, and conducting Regression Tests with the business side.
