Position Overview
The Business Analyst will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams at Gen II Fund Services, LLC, translating operational needs into clearly documented requirements and scalable solutions. This role focuses on gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting processes and system specifications, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions that drive efficiency and data quality across the firm.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include:
Business Requirements & Process Documentation
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across operations, client service, and technology teams.
- Document business processes, workflows, and system specifications in a clear, structured, and auditable format.
- Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures to reflect current-state workflows and evolving business needs.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications that can be acted upon by technology and development teams.
Systems Support & Issue Resolution
- Provide technical and functional support for existing business systems and platforms used across Gen II Fund Services, LLC.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the testing and validation of system changes, enhancements, and new implementations.
- Support the onboarding and training of end users on systems and process changes.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify and document process improvement opportunities, working with stakeholders to evaluate feasibility and priority.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and data quality.
- Contribute to project planning and execution, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and delivered against throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, IT, or related field; Finance (Accounting, Economics) and/or STEM degree a plus.
- 3+ years of professional experience in the financial services or private equity sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in business requirements gathering, analysis, process documentation, and business process mapping.
- Experience supporting business applications or platforms with strong technical aptitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with document management systems or enterprise content management platforms such as Box.
- Knowledge of financial operations, fund administration processes, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with private equity fund structures, including capital activity, investor reporting, and general ledger concepts.
- Exposure to data products, BI tools, or self-service analytics platforms in a financial services context.
The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $135,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
Work Arrangement
