Help Innovative Companies Protect the Technologies Shaping the Future

Hylton-Rodic Law is a boutique intellectual property law firm serving biotechnology, pharmaceutical, university, and life sciences innovators.

We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the firm's growth initiatives across business development, marketing, client engagement, and strategic relationship development.

This is not a traditional sales role. It is a relationship-driven role focused on helping the firm build visibility, strengthen client relationships, generate opportunities, and support long-term growth.

This position works directly with firm leadership and offers significant ownership, visibility, and professional development opportunities. Successful candidates will be comfortable taking initiative, managing projects independently, and helping build processes as the firm continues to grow.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow beyond pure coordination work and gain firsthand experience helping build and scale the business development function of a growing law firm.

What You'll Do

  • Support business development efforts by coordinating prospect outreach, meetings, follow-up activities, and pipeline management.
  • Manage the firm's HighLevel CRM, reporting, contact database, and business development tracking systems.
  • Coordinate client onboarding, client engagement initiatives, and relationship development activities.
  • Support conference, webinar, speaking engagement, and event-based business development programs.
  • Partner with marketing resources to coordinate newsletters, blogs, LinkedIn content, email campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Identify and coordinate relevant life sciences and intellectual property RFP and proposal opportunities.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

  • Learn the firm's services, clients, systems, and business development processes.
  • Become proficient in CRM and reporting tools.
  • Gain familiarity with ongoing conferences, marketing initiatives, and client engagement programs.

First 90 Days

  • Independently manage recurring business development workflows.
  • Support client engagement, conference initiatives, and marketing programs.
  • Become a trusted resource to firm leadership.
