Business Development Executive
Role Overview
The
Associate - Growth (GRW) is a highly client-facing, target-driven position
focused exclusively on generating new business – identifying prospects,
building a pipeline, demonstrating products & services, and closing deals.
This role is applicable across the company – with the specific product set,
target client segment, and geographic territory defined by the Reporting Head
at the time of joining.
You will
operate across the full B2B sales cycle – from first contact to signed
agreement – working closely with your Reporting Head and the relevant teams to
ensure a smooth transition of newly acquired clients into the delivery
ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Lead
Generation & Prospecting
o Follow
up on assigned leads in a timely, structured manner and arrange meetings with
prospective B2B clients across the assigned territory / zone.
o Generate
leads independently through field experience, market research, networking,
referrals, and observation of industry trends and events.

the business profile, organizational structure, regulatory environment, and
technology adoption priorities of prospective client institutions – and use
these insights to build relevant, targeted project strategies.
o Attend
industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to identify new prospects
and represent APT's products and brand.
o Maintain
an organized and up-to-date pipeline of prospects in the CRM system at all
times.
2. Product / Services’ Knowledge & Client
Demonstrations

thorough, in-depth functional knowledge of all assigned APT products – this is
a non-negotiable baseline for effective client engagement.
o Conduct
structured, confident product demonstrations and presentations for prospective
clients – tailoring the narrative to the specific needs, challenges, and
priorities of each institution.
o Map
product features and capabilities to real client problems – positioning APT's
solutions as the most relevant and commercially sound choice for the prospect.

supporting documentation – including proposal notes, product summaries, and
pitch decks – to support client understanding and deal progression.
3. Deal Progression & Revenue Generation
o Prepare
and submit accurate, timely commercial proposals and quotations to prospective
clients.
o Undertake
structured, persistent follow-up to keep deals moving through the sales cycle –
addressing objections, resolving queries, and maintaining momentum towards
closure.
o Handle
commercial negotiations within approved parameters – with the confidence to
hold ground while remaining solution-oriented and client-friendly.
o Finalize
and close business deals – ensuring all documentation is complete and handed
over accurately to the concerned teams.
o Consistently
work towards and surpass assigned quarterly and annual business targets – treating the target as the floor,
not the ceiling.
o Identify,
develop, and pursue new business opportunities and strategic alliances relevant
to the SBU's product portfolio.
4. Market Intelligence & Internal
Collaboration
o Track
competitor activity, market developments, and regulatory changes – and share
structured insights with the teams at defined intervals.
o Provide
actionable field intelligence to the concerned team(s) to support product
positioning, campaign planning, and content creation.
o Collaborate
actively with the Customer Success, Product Delivery, and Marketing teams to
ensure seamless client handover after deal closure and a strong initial client
experience.
