Business Development Lead

You will own business-development strategy and OKRs across regions, verticals, and segments. You will identify priority use cases, accounts, partners, and distribution channels; shape pricing and deal structures; and lead complex strategic deals. You will translate customer feedback into roadmap priorities, develop joint go-to-market plans, build pipeline forecasting practices, and create executive-ready communications. You will represent the organization in senior-level meetings, conferences, and media or analyst engagements.
Responsibilities
- Set and own business-development OKRs across target regions, verticals, and segments
- Translate strategy into quarterly plans with measurable outcomes
- Identify and prioritize high-potential use cases, companies, accounts, and partners
- Collaborate on product-roadmap priorities and feature timelines using external feedback
- Design pricing, packaging, and deal structures aligned to product value
- Lead and close strategic multi-stakeholder deals
- Establish forecast and pipeline practices with Finance
- Source and prioritize new partners and channels
- Develop joint go-to-market plans with ecosystem partners
- Create distribution flywheels and unlock high-value payment corridors
- Connect customer business goals to technical integrations, partners, and liquidity resources
- Create executive-ready narratives, pitch decks, RFPs, and updates
- Represent Lightning Labs at senior-level meetings, conferences, and media or analyst engagements
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or solution-oriented enterprise sales experience in fintech, payments, AI, or relevant technology
- Demonstrated experience creating go-to-market strategy and closing complex multi-party commercial agreements
- Technical and product fluency in Bitcoin and Lightning Network concepts, including routing, liquidity, settlement, Taproot Assets, stablecoins, and agentic payments
- Fluency with frontier LLMs and AI tools
- Ability to lead a small team while operating as a senior individual contributor
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with C-suite, product, legal, and technical stakeholders
- Ability to build ROI/TCO models and deal-economics analyses
- Ability to work autonomously across time zones
- Willingness to travel for key customers and events
