Business Development Lead

Optimism is seeking a senior individual contributor to develop key partnerships, own strategy frameworks, align product, marketing, and sales stakeholders, represent the Superchain credibly, and drive high-impact strategic projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage key partnerships with blockchain ecosystem businesses and stakeholders.
• Develop and own strategy processes and frameworks for key verticals.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to align partnership goals.
• Build deep knowledge of the Superchain and communicate its market positioning credibly.
• Align partners and internal teams around KPIs and objectives.
• Monitor industry trends, competition, and partnership opportunities.
• Lead high-priority cross-functional strategic projects and drive significant company decisions.

Requirements

• Experience establishing and structuring partnerships in blockchain and web3.
• Strong understanding of blockchain infrastructure and use cases including DeFi, gaming, and NFTs.
• Ability to identify, pursue, and close complex partnerships.
• Experience aligning internal stakeholders around strategic decisions.
• Experience working with Product teams to ensure technical feasibility.
• High ownership, autonomy, and enthusiasm for industry and technology developments.
• Ability to present publicly to technical and non-technical audiences.
