ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're looking for a Business Development Manager, CSD to drive new business growth across National, Regional, and Local chain accounts within our Convenience Store Division. This is a dynamic, in-market role built for someone who can develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage a full sales cycle from prospecting through close, and build long-term relationships that turn into cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for National, Regional, and Local chain accounts within our Convenience Store Division
  • Drive new business growth through targeted prospecting, leveraging existing customer relationships and professional networks to identify opportunities
  • Expand existing accounts by implementing strategic growth plans and securing new location openings
  • Oversee customer rollouts, installations, and marketing or merchandising initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional departments
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and closing, while regularly updating leadership on progress against growth plans
  • Partner with National Account Managers to strengthen relationships across existing national accounts and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Conduct regular customer visits to build relationships with decision-makers, present new products, and identify shared growth opportunities
  • Maintain deep knowledge of customers' business and industry trends to deliver value-added insights and ensure win-win partnerships
  • Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, including revenue, gross profit, cost, churn, and activity levels, and ensure CRM data integrity and accurate reporting
  • Provide customer feedback and competitive insights to inform company strategy and improve service delivery
  • Utilize internal and external resources to support account growth and customer success
  • Be in market with your accounts regularly, maintaining consistent in-person presence with the buyers, GMs, and F&B decision-makers who control purchasing
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual new business and profitability targets
  • Building and maintaining a strong, qualified pipeline with consistent forward motion
  • Closing new accounts across your priority industries every quarter
  • Achieving target profitability on new business, not just top-line growth
  • Continuously improving your sales cycle through stronger proposals and earlier qualification
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent combined education and sales experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales or a related role, with a track record of business growth through effective selling and account management
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic IT skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically while executing day to day
  • Willingness and ability to travel across multiple markets, including overnight travel for meetings, trade shows, and training
  • A valid driver's license and personal auto insurance as required by state law
NICE TO HAVE:
  • Prior sales experience in the food & beverage industry
  • Prior experience with C4C or a similar CRM platform
GOOD TO KNOW:
Because this role involves regular vehicular travel, it's considered safety-sensitive. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
This role also requires the ability to walk and stand for extended periods while visiting customer locations, to safely operate a motor vehicle and travel by air, and to lift up to 15 pounds with or without assistance.
