Business Development Manager (IT Solutions & Services)

Posted
Discussion

Experience Level: 3–5 Years

Industry Preference: IT SaaS, Staff Augmentation, or BPO/Recruitment Outsourcing

Role Objective

We are looking for a high-energy, strategic Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building a robust pipeline of B2B clients, and closing deals that involve complex service offerings. Whether it’s selling a SaaS platform or managed outsourcing services, you understand how to bridge the gap between technical capabilities and client business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Sales: Own the entire sales process from lead generation and cold outreach to closing and contract negotiation.
• Strategic Prospecting: Identify and engage C-level executives and IT decision-makers in target industries.
• Solution Selling: Consult with prospective clients to understand their pain points (e.g., talent gaps, inefficient workflows) and pitch tailored SaaS or outsourcing solutions.
• Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends in IT staffing, cloud computing, and global outsourcing to position our brand as a thought leader.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the delivery/recruitment teams to ensure that the "promises made" during the sale are technically feasible and high-quality.
• CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipelines (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years selling into the ANZ (Australia & New Zealand) region, specifically within IT Staffing, SaaS, or Outsourcing.
• Communication Style: Ability to pivot from high-level strategic "boardroom" talk to casual, relatable "coffee-shop" rapport.
• Portfolio: A demonstrated network or "black book" of contacts within the Australian tech or enterprise ecosystem is highly desirable.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), cloud models, or the nuances of IT talent acquisition.
• The "Hunter" Mentality: A track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets and KPIs.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you should be able to explain complex technical concepts in "business value" terms.
• Negotiation: Strong ability to handle objections and navigate complex procurement processes.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.

What We Value

• The Relationship Builder: You don't just close deals; you build long-term partnerships.
• Tech-Savviness: You are comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, automated outreach tools, and modern CRM systems.
• Adaptability: You can pivot your pitch whether you’re talking to a startup founder or a CTO of a Fortune 500 company.

Perks:

• Uncapped Commission Structure: We believe in rewarding results. There is no ceiling on your earnings; the more you grow our Australian portfolio, the more you earn.
• Accelerators: Earn higher percentage splits once you surpass your quarterly or annual KPIs.
