Business Development Manager - Netherlands & Belgium (m/f/d)
Posted Updated
Join Aampere, a seed-stage, VC-backed startup redefining the European market for used electric vehicles. Since our launch, we’ve enabled EV owners to sell their cars quickly and seamlessly within 48 hours, while giving dealers across Europe access to previously untapped customer segments.
We believe relationships are built in person, so you’ll spend a lot of time on the road at dealer sites. At the same time, you’re our eyes and ears in the Dutch and Belgian market: price shifts, regulatory changes, competitor moves, different tax and import rules across two countries. You report to HQ weekly and turn what dealers need into concrete feature requests for our product team in Munich. You work closely with Niko, our CGO & Co-Founder, and later hand in hand with our future Head of Dealer Network in Munich.
Regardless of your background, origin or gender identity - what matters to us is who you are as a person. We promote a culture of respect and cooperation in which every voice is heard, personal development is possible and appreciation is paramount.
Our team comes from the German startup ecosystem, with experience at Autarc, Greenforce, Cardino, Wemolo, Remberg, Alasco, Porsche, Mercedes, and KPMG.
You’ll be our first dedicated hire on the ground in the Netherlands and Belgium, the face of Aampere in the market we’re betting on next. We have our first few dealers there, but nothing is proven yet. Changing that is your job: open doors, win dealers and turn them into long-term, active buyers. You help decide which regions and cities we open up first and in what order. Hunting comes first, and once a dealer is on board, you make sure they stay active and grow with us. You match the right cars to the right buyers, keep bid activity high and think like a marketplace operator, not a seller.cWe believe relationships are built in person, so you’ll spend a lot of time on the road at dealer sites. - You have 3+ years in B2B sales, partnerships or account management, ideally in automotive or marketplace businesses. Seasoned B2B pros from other sectors are just as welcome.
- You’re a hunter at heart: you build pipelines from scratch, close deals and grow accounts strategically.
- You prefer selling face to face and know how to find a way in, even with ice-cold contacts.
- You see opportunities and act on them. Where there’s no playbook yet, you write it.
- An existing network in the Dutch or Belgian dealer market isn’t a must, but it’s a real head start.
- Dutch at native level and business-fluent English. French is a clear plus. Valid driver’s license and based in the Netherlands or Belgium.
- A defining role: You’re building Aampere’s presence in the Netherlands and Belgium from scratch, and if the traction justifies it, you’ll be the anchor as we grow the team there.
- Salary: Attractive base salary with a performance-based bonus.
- Company car: Because you’ll be on the road a lot.
- Tech: Apple or Windows, we provide your laptop. You choose what you work best with.
- Munich x BeNe: Two weeks on-site in Munich for onboarding, then quarterly team meetups in Munich.
- Remote: Full remote setup with a local employment contract via deel.com.
Impact: The chance to help shape how Europe’s used EV market is built.
- … you want to walk into ready-made processes and structures. A lot of that does not exist here yet. We are looking for people who build structures and processes, not people who administer them.
- … you need a finished plan before you start. Seed stage means a lot is unclear and changes week to week. You have to be comfortable making decisions in the dark and correcting course as you go.
- … you want to stay in your lane. “That is not my job” is not a thing here. You jump in where it matters, even when it sits outside your job description.
- … you want a classic 9-to-5. We are building something big, and that does not happen on the side. The people here want to go all in, not just put in the time.
