Business Development Manager (Newbuilding)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the shipbuilding and newbuilding sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, shipyards, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals, quotations, and presentations for newbuilding projects.
- Engage with customers throughout the sales cycle, from initial enquiry to project award.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming newbuilding opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular business development updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the maritime industry.
- Exposure to newbuilding projects, shipyards, or marine equipment is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is an advantage
