Once you're in, there's no limit on where your career could take you.The opportunity:The Inchcolm is looking for a driven, relationship-first Business Development Manager to lead proactive sales and grow our presence across Brisbane’s corporate, MICE and leisure markets.This is a genuinely outward-facing role. You’ll be in market building relationships, opening doors, converting opportunities and creating new reasons for clients to choose The Inchcolm. Working closely with the General Manager and wider commercial team, you’ll own a strong pipeline of new business and help grow The Inchcolm’s share of Brisbane’s competitive boutique hotel market.Key responsibilities:Lead proactive sales for the hotel, including sales calls, site inspections and face-to-face client meetingsPartner with the General Manager on strategic account development and new business opportunitiesConvert MICE and room night leads, winning business from the competition through confident client engagementBuild a strong pipeline of new corporate room night business and revenue-generating initiativesSupport national sales with rate tenders, keeping accurate records of business won, lost and pendingReview monthly P&L with the General Manager, reporting on performance, risks and opportunitiesTrack market mix, pricing and competitor movements to keep the Inchcolm aheadMaintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, meeting planners and industry stakeholdersRepresent The Inchcolm Hotel in the local business community, building a network that drives new opportunitiesKeep iVvy fully up to date, so all client activity is tracked and visible to the teamWork with the Conference & Events Coordinator to ensure a seamless handover from conversion through to deliveryWhat you'll bring:Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, ideally with an existing network across Brisbane's corporate and MICE marketA confident, proactive approach to new business development, and a genuine drive to seek out and win new leadsStrong commercial acumen, comfortable working with P&L reports, forecasts, budgets and revenue targetsExcellent relationship building skills across every level, from General Manager through to key clients and stakeholdersConfidence with CRM and sales systems, ideally iVvy and Power BIHow you work:Owner's mindset, acts on data and feedback and chases outcomes, not excusesResilient and solutions focused, stays calm under pressure and moves fastPerks from day one:As part of EVT, you unlock Elevate Perks from your first day.
