BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Market Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct desk research on target markets, sectors, and competitors.
  • Analyse regulatory landscapes relevant to JIB's areas of operation.
  • Compile sector reports and opportunity summaries for review by the HBD.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Support

  • Identify and qualify new business leads from research and industry sources.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records to track opportunities.
  • Monitor leads and opportunities through the BD cycle and flag progress to the HDM.

Proposal & Bid Support

  • Draft assigned sections of proposals and tender documents.
  • Coordinate inputs from Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments.
  • Format and quality-check bid submissions before final review by the HDM.

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Support the BDM in client meetings, site visits, and partner engagements.
  • Manage follow-up communications with prospective clients and partners.
  • Maintain and update client relationship records in the CRM system.

BD Collateral & Presentations

  • Develop pitch decks, capability statements, one-pagers, and BD marketing materials.
  • Ensure all BD collateral is current, well-designed, and aligned with JIB's brand guidelines.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Manage the BD team calendar and coordinate internal and external meetings.
  • Arrange travel logistics for BD-related activities.
  • Maintain organised BD files, databases, and shared document repositories.

Reporting

  • Compile pipeline reports and track BD KPIs on a regular basis.
  • Prepare data and supporting materials for monthly BD performance reports.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the Business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in BD, sales support, or a related role.
  • Experience in a multinational or international business environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to proposal and tender writing is desirable.

Skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management systems.
  • Proposal writing and document formatting.
  • Presentation design (PowerPoint, Canva, or equivalent).
  • A bilingual candidate is preferred
