About Liventus
Liventus is a technology modernization, automation, and decision intelligence firm headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, with offshore operations in Bangalore. We help companies in equipment finance, fintech, healthcare, manufacturing, and construction move off legacy systems, manual processes, and accumulated technical debt. Liventus has been recognized by Crain's Chicago Business as one of the Top Employers in Chicago and is certified by Great Places to Work.
About the Role
We are hiring a Business Development Representative to open new conversations for Sparkflow, our proprietary analytics and data platform, and for Liventus' broader modernization and automation services.
This is a hunting-first role built for someone early in their career who wants customer contact from day one. You will work a warm base of trade-show contacts, prior inquiries, and dormant accounts, and you will prospect into net-new accounts across our core verticals. You will be coached directly by sales leadership, given a defined set of numbers to hit, and expected to own the activity that produces pipeline.
What You'll Do
  • Re-engage warm and dormant accounts by phone, email, and LinkedIn, converting interest into qualified discovery meetings.
  • Prospect into net-new accounts in equipment finance, fintech, healthcare, manufacturing, and construction.
  • Research accounts and identify decision-makers using AI tools, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and trade-show intelligence.
  • Run initial discovery calls to surface business pain, budget ownership, and decision timeline.
  • Build prospect-facing demo assets, sample dashboards, and data mockups that make the Sparkflow value case concrete.
  • Bring in solution engineers and subject-matter experts for technical and executive conversations, owning prep and attendee lists.
  • Maintain CRM in real time: contacts, activity notes, qualification status, next steps.
  • Convert qualified discovery into Sales Qualified Leads and hand off to Account Executives with full context.
  • Report weekly on activity and pipeline metrics.
  • Participate in weekly sales coaching, roleplays, and product training
What Success Looks Like
  • Months 1–3: complete product certification and shadowing, build a target list of at least 75 accounts, secure 10 qualified discovery meetings
  • Months 4–12: 4–6 qualified discovery meetings and 2–4 SQLs per month, with quarterly pipeline sourcing at 3x coverage of assigned goal
  • A formal ramp review at month six evaluates activity consistency, meeting and SQL production, pipeline sourced, and CRM discipline
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated competitiveness and a track record of performing where results are measured.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable on the phone and in front of a room.
  • Analytical fluency — you can work with data and translate it into something a business buyer cares about.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the discipline to maintain CRM hygiene without being reminded.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve research, outreach, and content quality.
  • Willingness to be in our Northbrook office four days a week and to travel to industry events.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Prior customer-facing or commission-based work experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
  • Interest in equipment finance, supply chain, or enterprise software.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $45,000 – $60,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an activity-based ramp bonus during the first twelve months and for new-business commission at 3.5% of net invoice revenue on originated accounts. Estimated first-year total compensation ranges from approximately $59,000 to $85,000 depending on performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance beginning after 30 days; 10 days of accrued PTO plus 7 paid holidays, 5 sick days, and 1 floating holiday; profit sharing averaging approximately 3% of annual income after six months; a 401(k) with a guaranteed 40% match on the first $2,500 contributed, 100% vested at match; and a continued education program with paid time off and incentive bonuses for certifications and degrees.
Contingencies
Offers are contingent on a satisfactory background and credit check, a drug/toxicology screening, and acceptance of the Liventus Code of Conduct, Network Acceptable Use Policies, Firm Manual, General Employment Agreement, and Non-Compete agreement. Liventus is an equal opportunity employer.
