Job Overview/Purpose
The Business Manager - Commercial is an enterprise sales role responsible for acquiring new customers and driving strategic growth within existing accounts across an allocated industry-aligned territory. You will develop senior stakeholder relationships, identify and shape transformational opportunities, and position Transparity's professional services, managed services, and Microsoft solution capabilities to solve complex business challenges and deliver measurable business outcomes.
This role plays a critical part in accelerating Transparity's growth within the commercial market. Working with senior business and technology leaders, you will combine industry insight, commercial acumen, and a consultative sales approach to identify opportunities for innovation, operational improvement, risk reduction, and business transformation through technology.
As part of a high-performing sales organisation, you will collaborate closely with Microsoft, internal solution specialists, delivery teams, and marketing to create and execute account strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term customer value.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Own a defined territory, building and executing a clear growth strategy to win new customers, expand existing accounts, and deliver against ambitious revenue targets.
Lead complex sales opportunities from initial discovery through to close, creating compelling business cases and value propositions that resonate with senior decision-makers.
Build trusted relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders, becoming a strategic adviser on business transformation, technology, and innovation.
Develop a strong understanding of your sector, using market insight and emerging trends to identify opportunities and guide customer conversations.
Maintain a healthy, high-quality pipeline, with accurate forecasting, account planning, and opportunity management throughout the sales cycle.
Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Delivery, Customer Success, Marketing, and Microsoft teams to shape winning solutions and drive impactful go-to-market activity.
Represent the business externally through customer engagements, executive briefings, industry events, and thought leadership, while sharing market insight and best practice internally.
Skills, experience and qualifications
Proven success selling Microsoft cloud, professional services, managed services, or digital transformation solutions into mid-market and enterprise organisations.
Strong consultative sales approach, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders from technical teams through to C-level executives.
Commercially astute, able to understand customer challenges, identify opportunities, and build compelling business cases that deliver measurable value.
Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies across Azure, Security, Modern Work, Data & AI, with the ability to position business outcomes rather than products.
Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets in a complex, multi-stakeholder sales environment.
Confident relationship builder with excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, capable of developing trusted partnerships with senior decision-makers.
Experience within a Microsoft Partner, technology consultancy, or software vendor environment is advantageous, alongside knowledge of industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Financial Services, Professional Services, Legal, or Construction.
