The Role
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to translate business operations, compliance knowledge, and reporting logic into scalable digital systems. This role sits at the intersection of business, process, AI, and external vendors, owning the definition and delivery of internal systems and automation initiatives.
You will act as the primary link between stakeholders and technical vendors, ensuring business logic is clearly captured, documented, and implemented across AI solutions, automation workflows, and internal tools.
This is a senior, hands-on role with direct influence over system design, governance, and rollout across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Business Analysis, Requirements & Product Ownership
Work closely with consultants, directors, and operational staff to capture business knowledge, logic, and system requirements
Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, process definitions, and system decision flows
Act as the single source of truth for system requirements across internal teams and external vendors
Contribute to the functional design of AI-powered automation tools, including facilitating SME workshops, capturing edge cases, and validating outputs
Review system and AI outputs for correctness, robustness, and alignment with business expectations, controlling scope and preventing drift
Process Optimisation, Automation & Systems Oversight
Document current-state (“as-is”) processes and design future-state (“to-be”) workflows incorporating automation, AI-assisted steps, and improved controls
Identify inefficiencies, duplication, risk points, and opportunities for automation or simplification
Maintain a holistic view of internal systems, integrations, and data ownership
Prevent fragmented tooling, duplicated solutions, and unnecessary complexity
Support scalable, maintainable system design without over-engineering
Vendor Management, Delivery & Adoption
Act as a point of contact for vendors delivering AI, automation, VBA, and system solutions
Oversee implementation, documentation, version control, and governance of automation assets
Review vendor outputs critically to ensure quality, value, and alignment to requirements
Support testing, rollout, training, and adoption of new systems to ensure they are embedded into day-to-day operations
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Business, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 4+ experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Product Ownership
Familiarity with AI, automation, or RPA tools
Previous experience with Quality Assurance and testing; SQL extraction and Power BI will be highly regarded
Knowledge of process mapping, workflow design, or process improvement methodologies
Experience managing vendors or technical implementation projects
Optional certifications that strengthen candidacy
