Business Systems Developer (3242)
Position Summary
The Business Systems Developer is responsible for improving operational efficiency through automation, system integration, application development, and business process optimization. This role supports and enhances Microsoft 365 solutions, NetSuite ERP, SQL databases, reporting tools, and internally developed software applications to eliminate manual processes and improve data accessibility across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with technical expertise in database management, software development, and workflow automation to deliver scalable solutions that improve productivity and support overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement
- Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and data-driven decision making.
- Document current and future-state workflows and develop implementation plans.
- Measure and report on operational improvements and ROI of implemented solutions.
Systems Integration & Automation
- Design and develop solutions that integrate Microsoft Office applications, internal business systems, and NetSuite ERP.
- Automate manual workflows using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Develop custom applications and utilities to improve business processes.
- Maintain and enhance proprietary software systems developed internally.
Data Management & Reporting
- Develop and maintain SQL databases, queries, stored procedures, and reports.
- Create dashboards and reporting solutions that provide actionable business insights.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and availability of business data across systems.
ERP Support
- Partner with functional departments to optimize NetSuite usage and business processes.
- Develop reports, saved searches, workflows, and integrations within NetSuite.
- Support system enhancements, testing, documentation, and user training.
Collaboration
- Work directly with departments across the organization to gather requirements and define solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Provide technical support and training for process improvement initiatives.
