The Business Technology Solutions Manager - Corporate Technology, is the strategic technology partner to the Chief People Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Procurement, leading the technology portfolio that underpins Kāinga Ora's corporate services functions.
With accountability for the Oracle Fusion ecosystem and related corporate platforms, the role shapes technology strategy, prioritises investment, and ensures the successful delivery and ongoing sustainability of solutions across Finance, People, and Procurement.
Leading a team comprising Product Managers and Delivery Managers, the role balances transformational change with operational resilience, governance, and long-term value realisation. This is a highly influential leadership role that sits at the intersection of business strategy and technology delivery.
As the trusted senior technology advisor to key business areas, you'll partner with leaders across Kāinga Ora to shape technology demand, prioritise investments, and ensure solutions are delivered in a way that balances value, risk, sustainability, and operational readiness.
This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions while ensuring solutions deliver lasting value for both our people and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into a clear technology roadmap
- Shape and manage a portfolio of technology initiatives aligned to organisational strategy and delivery capacity
- Provide expert advice on technology options, investment decisions, innovation opportunities, and delivery approaches
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of business technology solutions
- Ensure initiatives meet architecture, cybersecurity, governance, compliance, and operational readiness requirements
- Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and delivery performance
- Guide vendor and delivery partner performance and outcomes
- Drive transparency through clear reporting, performance measurement, and value tracking
- Champion continuous improvement and support the successful adoption of technology solutions across the business.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
We're looking for a strategic technology leader who combines commercial thinking, delivery excellence, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
You'll bring:
- 10+ years' experience in technology business partnering, product management, programme delivery, or related senior technology leadership roles
- Experience operating within large, complex enterprise environments
- A strong track record delivering business-critical technology initiatives and enterprise platforms
- Expertise in balancing business priorities, technology constraints, funding considerations, and organisational risk
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior leaders and executive stakeholders
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and investment planning
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- A passion for delivering practical technology outcomes that create measurable value
- Experience with Oracle Fusion
