Description

Our client, an established international maritime organisation, is seeking an experienced Business Transformation Program Manager to lead and coordinate a significant, business-wide transformation programme.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will translate the organisation's strategic vision and target operating model into a structured, actionable transformation roadmap, driving implementation across multiple business functions and regions.

Acting as the central programme lead, you will oversee programme governance, cross-functional coordination, business process transformation, stakeholder alignment and change management, ensuring that business and technology initiatives are effectively integrated and deliver sustainable operational improvements.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded transformation professional who can operate confidently at senior leadership level while remaining hands-on in driving programme execution and measurable business outcomes.

Contract Details

  • 12-month fixed-term contract.
  • Potential extension or conversion to permanent employment, subject to performance, business requirements and organisational needs.
  • Singapore-based position with global responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme Mobilisation & Roadmap

  • Work with external consultants and business leaders to validate the proposed Target Operating Model (TOM), future-state processes, expected benefits and underlying assumptions, identifying gaps and key decisions ahead of implementation.
  • Translate approved recommendations into a structured, phased transformation roadmap, defining workstreams, milestones, dependencies, business cases, resource requirements and key decision points.
  • Align programme priorities and scope with the CEO, business leaders and Director of Digital & IT Transformation, maintaining an integrated view of business and technology initiatives.

2. Programme Governance & Delivery

  • Own the integrated programme plan and governance framework, including reporting cadence, decision logs, risk and issue registers, dependency management and escalation processes.
  • Coordinate business workstreams and technology project milestones, ensuring alignment and progress while maintaining delivery accountability with the respective business and IT leads.
  • Oversee programme-level budgets and forecasts in partnership with Finance and workstream owners, consolidating financial reporting and escalating any significant variances.
  • Prepare executive and steering committee updates covering programme progress, outcomes, key decisions, risks, costs and changes to the overall plan.

3. Operating Model & Business Change

  • Facilitate the implementation of changes to organisational roles, decision-making responsibilities, governance structures, processes, controls and ways of working in line with the approved Target Operating Model.
  • Work with accountable process owners to define and approve future-state processes, operational hand-offs, performance measures and business requirements.
  • Lead the business change programme, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, implementation readiness and adoption.
  • Identify resistance to change, resource constraints and implementation barriers, facilitating decisions with business sponsors and supporting the successful adoption of new ways of working.

4. Digital & Technology Alignment

  • Partner with the Director of Digital & IT Transformation to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with business objectives, process design and the overall transformation roadmap.
  • Ensure business owners provide timely requirements, policy and process decisions, resource commitments, acceptance criteria and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate business readiness, training and adoption for technology-enabled changes, monitoring business and IT dependencies and escalating unresolved issues.
  • Work with technology vendors and implementation partners to maintain programme-level alignment, while technical design, platform decisions and technology project delivery remain under IT ownership.

5. Benefits Realisation & Business Outcomes

  • Establish baseline performance measures, agreed benefit targets, accountable owners and benefits realisation plans for each transformation initiative.
  • Monitor adoption and realised business benefits in collaboration with Finance and business owners, identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure new capabilities and process changes are effectively transitioned to operational owners, with appropriate performance measures and governance in place to sustain the intended benefits.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Substantial experience leading complex, cross-functional business transformation or enterprise-wide programmes, including operating model implementation and business process change.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives and consulting recommendations into executable transformation plans and sustainable operational outcomes.
  • Strong experience in programme governance, integrated planning, financial oversight, dependency management, benefits measurement and executive reporting.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and facilitate decisions across multiple business functions and geographical regions without direct reporting authority.
  • Practical change management experience covering stakeholder engagement, business readiness, training and adoption.
  • Sufficient digital and technology literacy to engage effectively with IT teams on technology capabilities, constraints and programme dependencies. Hands-on platform expertise or technical solution design is not required.
  • Experience within an in-house transformation office or consulting environment, with direct accountability for implementation, ideally in a multinational or multi-region operational business.
  • Exposure to commercial, finance, customer service or supply chain process transformation would be advantageous.
  • An MBA would be beneficial but is not essential.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic & Business Acumen: Business-oriented and outcome-focused, with the ability to translate strategic intent into structured execution plans and measurable results.
  • Programme Leadership: Strong planning, organisational and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage complex workstreams, competing priorities and interdependencies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior executives and business leaders across different functions and regions.
  • Change Leadership: Ability to navigate organisational change, address resistance constructively and drive adoption of new processes and ways of working.
  • Problem-Solving: Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, identifying emerging risks and ensuring critical issues and decisions are surfaced early.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent relevant training would be advantageous
