The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving transient corporate travel revenue through strategic account development, relationship management, and new business acquisition. This individual will manage a portfolio of corporate accounts, travel management companies (TMCs), airline crew business, and small group opportunities while identifying and securing new revenue streams.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with proven hotel sales experience, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to\:
Account Management & Airline Crew Business
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate accounts and airline crew contracts, managing airline crew agreements, renewals, operational coordination, and service delivery to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and secure new local and regional corporate accounts while developing strategic sales plans and building relationships with travel managers, corporate decision-makers, travel management companies (TMCs), and airline representatives to increase market share, transient room revenue, and overall account production.
Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy
- Analyze account production, market trends, and travel patterns to identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor performance against established revenue goals and provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.
- Negotiate contracts and secure corporate transient business, airline crew agreements, and small group opportunities.
Site Visits & Client Engagement
- Coordinate and conduct customized hotel site inspections that showcase facilities, services, safety standards, and amenities to support account acquisition and retention.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Small Group Sales
- Generate and close small corporate group business, including executive meetings, training programs, project teams, and other business-related events, while partnering closely with Sales and Events teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Collaboration & Operations
- Collaborate with Revenue Management, Operations, Catering, and other departments while actively participating in sales strategy meetings, leadership meetings, and hotel events
- Adapt quickly to changing business demands, including airline crew schedule changes, last-minute accommodations, and operational adjustments.
