Job Summary
We are currently seeking applicants for a Busser position to work day or night shifts on a busy restaurant floor. The ideal candidate has a passion for food service, an ability to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment, and excellent communication skills. The Busser will be responsible for cleaning tables and assisting with the bussing and stocking process in order to keep the dining area clean and organized at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Table maintenance: Clear dirty plates, glassware, silverware, and trash promptly; wipe and sanitize tables; reset tables according to restaurant standards.
- Support servers: Pre-bus tables throughout the meal, remove unnecessary items, bring extra plates/utensils when requested, and help servers turn tables efficiently.
- Water & guest support: Refill water and assist with simple guest requests when appropriate.
- Dining-room cleanliness: Keep floors, chairs, booths, service stations, and surrounding areas clean. Sweep up spills or debris promptly and report safety hazards.
- Service stations: Restock silverware, napkins, glassware, plates, straws, water, and other service supplies.
- Dish area: Bring dirty dishes to the designated dishwashing area, properly separate dishes/silverware/glassware, and avoid allowing dirty dishes to accumulate.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to stand for long hours and lift moderate to heavy weights.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player.
