Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for managing purchasing activities, securing goods, and managing supplier relationships to optimize procurement operations. The Scope of materials can include controlled items for internal manufacturing or service, lab and production supplies, as well as capital equipment and tooling.

• Procure Goods and Services: Identify, select, and procure merchandise that aligns with the company’s needs and specifications. Enter purchase orders in NetSuite ERP system and coordinate exceptions as needed throughout the receipt and billing cycle.

• Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing while ensuring quality standards and timely delivery. Document nonconformances in Vero's Quality Management Systems and maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to ensure the timely correction and prevention of nonconformances.

• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary, avoiding overstock and out-of-stock situations.

• Market Analysis: Keep up to date with market trends and product availability to make informed purchasing decisions.

• Cost Management: Seek the best combination of quality, price, payment terms, and delivery by comparing suppliers.
