C# Developer
Overview
We are seeking a Senior C# / .NET Engineer to join a high performing enterprise technology team supporting applications across various financial operations and products. The team is undergoing a capability uplift and is looking for highly capable senior engineers who can operate independently and deliver cloud-native solutions with minimal supervision.
About the Role
This is a backend-focused engineering role responsible for developing and supporting business-critical trade operations platforms. You will work on both project delivery and BAU support, partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance applications using C# and .NET Core
- Build and support cloud-native, containerised applications
- Work with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EKS), but Azure or GCP experience is also valued
- Deliver new features and enhancements for trade operations systems
- Support and maintain existing production applications
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Troubleshoot issues and drive improvements across the platform
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
- Utilise modern development tooling, including AI-assisted development where appropriate
Must-Have Experience
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core
- Experience building backend enterprise applications
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with containerised environments and modern deployment practices
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery
- Experience engaging with business stakeholders
Nice-to-Have Experience
- AWS EKS or Kubernetes
- UI / Frontend development experience
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Messaging technologies
- AI-assisted development tools
- Financial services, trading, or investment management experience
