C++ Software Engineer
Unlock your potential with Dassault Systèmes, a global leader in Scientific Software Engineering as a Software Engineer in Daegu, Korea!
Job Responsibilities & Description:
As a software engineer, you will be expected to work on various projects to define, specify and implement key enhancements to the CATIA solutions around electrical systems design (cabling, harness design...) and fluids systems design (piping, tubing, HVAC...).
CATIA was one of the first 3D CAD (computer aided design) solutions to include generative design capabilities, allowing users to create complex and innovative geometrical designs that take in account industrial specifications related to mechanical and system performance, as well as part manufacturing. Our solutions are used in a wide range of industries and segments, such as energy, shipbuilding, automotive, aerospace, etc.
You will be expected to:
- Participate in the analysis of customer requests, and propose solutions to answer these requests in the most agnostic way possible to maximize reuse by other customers of various industries.
- Implement these solutions within existing CATIA applications, and carry out their maintenance, sometimes with the assistance of tools powered by artificial intelligence.
- Collaborate within an international team of engineers with diverse backgrounds and domains of expertise.
Qualifications:
You are an experienced software engineer with a degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in computer science, ideally with a focus on 3D technologies, and as such you are expected to have a certain degree of autonomy both in the planning and the execution of tasks.
You should have professional experience in software development, regardless of the technological stack, although an advanced knowledge of C++ is necessary.
Knowledge of techniques revolving around machine learning and numerical computation (such as Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.) is a plus.
Mastering English as a professional language is mandatory (written and spoken).
What's in it for you?
- Work on real-world industrial challenges where your AI models directly impact how the world designs and manufactures products – from automotive to aerospace.
- Collaborate with a world-class team of software engineers, mathematicians, and domain experts across the globe.
- Access to cutting-edge computational resources and large-scale 3D datasets.
- Opportunity to grow into a technical lead or architect role, shaping the future of AI-driven generative design at Dassault Systèmes.
- Hybrid working model with the opportunity to work from home part of the week.
