C++ Software Engineer (Electrical Engineering background)

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Software Engineer to join our Electrical & Industrial Solutions Group – Center of Excellence (EISG COE). The role involves developing next-generation software solutions for future enterprise engagements within the test and measurement domain.

You will be part of an Agile software development team, transforming innovative ideas into robust, scalable software solutions while solving complex design and implementation challenges. You will also explore emerging technologies and apply modern software engineering practices, including design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, and usability testing.

Design, develop, and implement board test and measurement software solutions.

Work closely with solution experts to evaluate, design, and develop software that enhances test and measurement capabilities.

Analyze complex technical challenges and develop effective, scalable software solutions.

Communicate the impact and trade-offs of technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus and drive successful product development.

Participate in design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, usability testing, and Agile development activities.

Investigate and evaluate new technologies, tools, and software development approaches.

Contribute to the design and development of current products while addressing broader technology requirements for future solutions.

Collaborate with product marketing and business leaders to develop innovative products that strengthen the organization's position in the test and measurement market.

Support software deployment and integration across multiple platforms.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related software/engineering discipline.

3–5 years of experience in software product development, engineering, and/or product management.

Proven experience working through at least one complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile environment.

Strong software development experience using C/C++ and .NET Framework.

Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and modern software engineering practices.

Experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions across multiple platforms.

Good understanding of software development methodologies, testing practices, and version control.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Knowledge of in-circuit testing (ICT) technologies and test algorithms.

Experience working with measurement libraries and test & measurement applications.

Experience with Agile development methodologies and cross-functional product teams.

Experience working with tools such as:

• Git / GitLab

• ClearCase

• SharePoint
