Position Overview
Malin is seeking a CAD Designer to support the Systems department in developing material handling layouts and detailed drawing packages. This role collaborates with engineering, sales, and project management teams to deliver accurate, high-quality CAD drawings for warehouse and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D CAD layouts and detailed drawings for material handling systems including conveyors, mezzanines, and automation components
- Interpret engineering concepts, markups, and system requirements into production-ready drawings
- Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and adherence to company CAD standards
- Support sales with concept layouts and assist project teams with construction and installation drawing packages
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure drawings align with project scope, schedule, and installation needs
- Update drawings based on field feedback and project changes
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
- Minimum 2+ years of CAD drafting or design experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with material handling or industrial systems preferred
