The Inside Sales Campaign Support Specialist (CSS) role is responsible for supporting prospecting activities, customer account relationships, and the ongoing business needs of a defined region. The CSS serves as a flexible resource to provide coverage, assistance, and continuity for Campaign Specialists and the broader Provider Sales Organization.
The CSS will educate current and prospective clients and drive adoption of Biologics’ value-added services that enhance customer efficiencies, improve the provider and patient experience, and increase referrals to Biologics. The CSS will also provide day-to-day sales and account support by assisting with customer outreach, follow-up activities, service inquiries, opportunity management, and other activities that enable the Provider Sales Team to maintain strong customer relationships and achieve business objectives.
As a key contact for Healthcare Providers (HCPs), the CSS helps reduce the workload of pharmacy operations and field and inside sales teams by responding to customer inquiries, coordinating follow-up, resolving routine issues, and promoting repeat referrals. When an existing Campaign Specialist is unavailable or requires additional support, the CSS may assume designated customer engagement, prospecting, follow-up, and account-servicing responsibilities to ensure a seamless customer experience and continuity of service.
The CSS will develop and support the relationship between Biologics and individual customers at multiple levels, including prescribers, nurses, office managers, and pharmacy staff. The CSS will assist customers in maximizing the various Biologics products and services they currently use while identifying opportunities where additional solutions may enhance patient care, improve practice efficiency, or strengthen the customer relationship.
As a support resource for the Provider Sales Organization, the CSS will collaborate with Campaign Specialists, field-based Regional Account Executives, sales leadership, sales support, and operational teams to ensure appropriate coverage of customer accounts and sales activities. This may include temporarily supporting another representative's territory, assisting with customer outreach and follow-up, completing campaign activities, managing open customer inquiries, preparing account information, and helping maintain momentum on active opportunities.
The CSS will develop and maintain productive working relationships with pertinent internal departments and teams, ensuring internal stakeholders are aligned and working together to meet agreed-upon customer goals and strategies. The CSS will appropriately escalate complex customer, operational, or service issues while maintaining ownership of communication and follow-up until the issue has been addressed or transitioned to the appropriate team.
The CSS is responsible for maintaining regular communication with key customers and developing close business relationships that sustain valued partnerships. The CSS will monitor market conditions, remain alert to opportunities, and provide ongoing account servicing in a manner that maximizes customer satisfaction and favorably positions Biologics as a market leader for oncology and rare specialty pharmacy needs.
The CSS will work collaboratively with Regional Account Executives, Campaign Specialists, sales support, and operational teams to ensure the smooth transition of pharmacy prescriber targets to long-term pharmacy clients. The CSS may also provide additional support during periods of increased workload, staffing transitions, territory changes, new-hire onboarding, vacations, or other circumstances requiring temporary sales coverage.
Coverage & Team Support Responsibilities
In addition to their assigned responsibilities, the CSS is expected to serve as a collaborative resource for the Provider Sales Team by:
- Providing temporary coverage for Campaign Specialists during planned or unplanned absences.
- Supporting customer and prospect communications to maintain continuity of engagement.
- Assisting with high-priority accounts, campaigns, and sales initiatives as directed by sales leadership.
- Following up on open customer inquiries, service requests, and referrals when additional coverage is needed.
- Supporting prospecting and outbound campaigns across assigned or designated territories.
- Assisting Campaign Specialists with account research, customer follow-up, opportunity tracking, and preparation for customer interactions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities within applicable systems.
- Helping ensure that customer relationships and active opportunities remain appropriately supported during territory transitions or staffing changes.
- Sharing customer insights, successful approaches, and market intelligence with the broader Provider Sales Team.
- Serving as a reliable team resource while maintaining clear communication regarding account ownership, responsibilities, and handoffs.
The CSS will use sound judgment to balance assigned responsibilities with team-support needs and will communicate proactively with sales leadership when additional coverage requirements may impact existing priorities.
This individual will have working knowledge of the entire range of pharmacy services and will understand how Biologics' capabilities can address the needs of oncology and rare specialty practices. The CSS is motivated by working in a team environment and contributing to the collaborative achievement of sales and customer-service goals.
The successful candidate will exhibit strong phone etiquette and communication skills and will be comfortable completing a significant volume of meaningful customer engagement activities each day. The SS will support office staff education, problem resolution, customer follow-up, and overall customer satisfaction. He or she will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of responsiveness, organization, and professionalism.
The CSS is driven to provide exceptional customer satisfaction, deepen provider engagement, promote client loyalty, and contribute to the growth of Biologics. The individual understands that consistent customer coverage and teamwork are essential to protecting existing relationships, maintaining referral volume, and creating opportunities for future growth.
The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the success of colleagues and customers. He or she demonstrates flexibility, accountability, teamwork, and a willingness to step in where needed to support the Provider Sales Organization.
