Campus Shuttle Driver

Wilkes University invites applicants for Drivers to fill open positions in the campus shuttle program. All drivers must have a valid Class C CDL License with passenger endorsement (or out-of-state equivalent), and be able to operate an ADA accessible ramp. The Shuttle Bus Driver's primary responsibility is transporting students and other University passengers both on and off campus. Available shifts on weekdays, and Sunday evenings.

The successful candidate is responsible for:

  • Providing safe transport in a University vehicle of students, faculty, staff, and others within the University community
  • Operating shuttle as intended in order to transport students safely to destinations on or off campus
  • Remaining flexible to prescribed routes, as time allow
  • Accommodating special requests of passenger
  • Maintaining clean and safe shuttle interiors

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Must maintain a current Medical Examiners Certificate as required by PennDOT
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Be dependable and timely in attendance
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must demonstrate and ability to perform, extreme weather conditions, or where unexpected changes and unsafe conditions exist

Hours will vary due to nature of position; drivers are needed for weekdays and/or weekends.
