Job description

Execute all carpentry and associated work to the highest professional standards.
Construct and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.
Maintain wooden fixtures, furniture, and structures throughout the hotel such as doors, windows, cabinets, shelves, counters, and decorative elements.
Work with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, routers, sanders, planers, and chisels, using them safely and effectively.
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues related to wooden structures, fixtures, and furnishings, and develop effective solutions to address them efficiently.
Collaborate with other department team members such as Housekeeping and Front Office while prioritizing work orders and ensuring timely completion of requests.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience as a carpenter in a hotel environment.
• Proficient in various woodworking techniques, including cutting, shaping, joining, and finishing wood to create functional and aesthetically pleasing structures and furnishings.
• Knowledgeable of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards relevant to carpentry work to ensure compliance and safety in all projects.
