Who We’re Looking For

The Cash Operations Business Partner is responsible for all aspects of accounting for cash receipts and related transactions.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated mathematical aptitude, a sharp eye for detail, organizational skills, and articulate communication skills. They take pride in accurate work and keep a positive attitude.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Apply tenant funds received via Lockbox, ACH, Credit Card, and physical checks to tenant accounts, including downloading the reports from the appropriate systems and obtaining remittance information where none is included
• Record chargebacks and declined payments
• Deposit physical checks received in the office via remote deposit
• Log other miscellaneous checks and payments to appropriate revenue accounts
• Research and answer Collections and tenant inquiries quickly and accurately
• Prepare reports as required
• Follow each payment through to being applied correctly, including chargebacks, declined payments, and checks with missing remittance info
• Work with Collections and the accounting team so payments are applied and reports are ready when needed
• Spot recurring payment issues and find ways to make the process more accurate or faster

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience with exposure to accounts receivable and preparation of reconciliations
• Working knowledge of Excel (i.e., formatting data from external sources, VLOOKUPs)
• Demonstrated mathematical aptitude
• Articulate communication skills
• Organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or other business field, or equivalent work experience
