Cashier

John Jones Auto Group in Scottsburg is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. This position helps ensure a positive customer experience by processing payments accurately and providing helpful, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions in person and by phone.
• Process cash, check, and credit card payments accurately.
• Review invoices, explain charges, and direct billing questions to the appropriate team member.
• Provide receipts and maintain accurate payment records.
• Balance the cash drawer and complete daily reconciliation.
• Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
• Communicate with service, parts, and accounting staff to resolve payment questions.
• Keep the cashier area organized and protect confidential customer information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier, customer service, or office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle payments accurately.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealership software.
• Ability to stay organized and professional in a busy environment.
• Dependable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.
