Compassionate ABA & Therapeutic Services LLC is seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our growing interdisciplinary team in Springfield.

This position is ideal for a COTA who wants meaningful pediatric work, consistent supervision, schedule flexibility, and access to the materials needed to provide high-quality therapy.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT
• Provide individualized pediatric therapy sessions
• Address fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-processing, self-care, play, and functional skills
• Document sessions accurately and within required timelines
• Collect and report data on client progress
• Communicate observations and treatment updates to the supervising OT
• Provide caregiver education within the COTA’s scope of practice
• Collaborate with clinical team members to support coordinated care
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, payer, and Virginia licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active Virginia COTA license
• Current NBCOT certification
• Pediatric, autism, or sensory-integration experience preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
• Professional liability insurance
• NPI number or ability to obtain one
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Reliable, professional, and committed to providing quality care
