Certified Welder

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Must be able to perform all functions of the basic and advanced welder classification.
- Must be capable and willing to move and work in any work station, line, or product at
- any time.
- Work from verbal instructions / blue prints / drawings and/or work orders.
- Setup equipment / prepare surfaces to be welded /weld parts.
- Must be able to use hand tools such as grinders, etc.
- Must report all accidents/injuries to department supervisor immediately.
- Prompt and regular attendance.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
- Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.
- Maintain inventory of parts used in area.
- Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures
- Train basic welders.
RESPONSIBILITIES KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must have held (and performed the function) of the Advanced Welder classification for at least one year (Internal candidates only).
- Must pass MIG, TIG, and Stick ASME welding tests on 3/4” schedule 40 pipe in a 6G position.
- Must be able to read blue prints and layout part to prints
- Must have basic math skills
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
