Chassis Technician
Job Summary:
Completes troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians
We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician to join our Distribution business in (Coburg, OR).

- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting,maintenance,andcomplexrepairsonchassisandrelatedvehiclesystems.
- Completepreventativemaintenanceandinspectionsonchassiscomponentstoensureequipmentreliabilityandperformance.
- Utilizeelectronicdiagnostictools,servicemanuals,andothertechnicalresourcestoaccuratelyidentifyandresolveissues.
- Completeservicedocumentation,workorders,warrantyclaims,andrepairrecordsaccuratelyandtimely.
- Coachandsupportjuniortechniciansandapprenticesbysharingtechnicalknowledgeandbestpractices.
- Maintainaclean,safe,andorganizedworkarea,tools,andequipment.
- AdheretoCumminsHealth,Safety&Environmentalpoliciesandprocedureswhilepromotingastrongsafetyculture.
- Participateinongoingtraininganddevelopmenttomaintainandexpandtechnicalskills.
In order to be succesful in this role you will need the following:
- Advancedknowledgeandexperiencewithchassissystems,diagnostics,repair,andmaintenance.
- Abilitytoperformcomplextroubleshootingandrepairsusingelectronicservicetoolsanddiagnosticsoftware.
- Strongunderstandingofelectrical,mechanical,fuel,cooling,exhaust,aftertreatment,driveline,andcontrolsystems.
- Experiencedocumentingrepairs,diagnostics,andmaintenanceactivitiesinservicemanagementsystems.
- Abilitytoprovideguidance,coaching,andtechnicalsupporttolessexperiencedtechnicians.
- Strongcommunication,customerservice,andteamworkskills.
- Commitmenttosafety,quality,andcontinuousimprovement.
- Vocationaldiplomafromarelevanttechnicalinstitutionpreferred.
- Validdriver'slicenserequired.
- CDLmayberequireduponhire.FederallawrequiresCDLholderstobeatleast21yearsofage.
- ApprenticeTrainedTechniciancertificationpreferred.
Work well in a team environment,
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
