CHB Assistant Manager - Los Angeles
This position will follow a Monday through Friday schedule. This role can be performed from any U.S. time zone. Employees are expected to work 8:00 AM-5:00 PM based on their local time.
This is a crucial role encompassing a range of tasks and responsibilities for effective supervision and delegation of work. As an Assistant Manager, you should possess expertise in import, transportation, logistics, and customs brokerage. A strong passion for supporting clients and the ability to inspire colleagues are essential to ensure the timely completion of all branch tasks and to deliver excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and motivate a team environment, providing support to direct reports to optimize employee performance and professional growth. Fostering our culture of determination, innovation, and value.
- Actively pursue new sales leads for our various services while maintaining current clients.
- Assist in managing payable/receivables/quoting and profit & loss statement.
- Provides guidance and supervision for the daily operation of CHB colleagues.
- Monitors workflow and accurate completion of daily operations such as customers correspondence, handling claims, processing post entry work, maintaining logs, handling collections and resolving customer problems.
- Manages the oversight and responsibilities of office colleagues, reviews progress, fields inquiries and resolves technical problems.
- Advances effective strategies to adjust personnel and assignments to meet deadlines. This includes monitoring and providing guidance to colleagues on all shifts.
- Conducts regular audit reviews to ensure that procedures and paper flow is being followed. Sending information and feedback timely to manager or other designated team members.
- Stays current on industry changes and company policy and procedure changes. Communicates to team all updates to ensure compliance.
- Foster and uphold a positive rapport with CBP and other government agencies regarding entry resolution.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
May require occasional travel (Up to 20% of time).
Required Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Licensed Customs Broker
- 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
- 5+ customs brokerage experience
The salary range of compensation for this position will be $75,000-$95,000 based on experience and education.
