Are you passionate about gaming and experienced in translation? TransPerfect Games is looking for Simplified Chinese into
Japanese gaming translators to collaborate on exciting localization projects. You'll work on everything from indie games to AAA titles, ensuring the best gaming experience for Japanese players.
🔹 What We’re Looking For:
✅ Native-level proficiency in Japanese
✅ Strong command of Simplified Chinese and English
✅ Deep passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming terminology
✅ Minimum 3 years of experience in gaming localization (Simplified Chinese>Japanese)
✅ Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games
✅ Skilled in CAT tools (preferably in memoQ)
✅ Detail-oriented with excellent grammar, spelling, and terminology skills
✅ Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, creative environment
🔹Important information:
📌This is a contract-based opportunity.
📌Competitive compensation based on experience.
📌As a mandatory requirement, you must have the right to work in Tokyo. You will be required to provide supporting documentation.
📌This is an onsite position. You are required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Tokyo. So you shall be based in the Tokyo area or you are within commuting distance to our office.
📌1 day PTO per month, social insurance and transportation fees covered (max 30,000 JPY/month)

📌 A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with significant translation training)
📌 3+ years of translation experience + a college degree
📌 5+ years of translation experience (no degree required)
📌 A translation certification issued by an appropriate government body
