micro1 is engaging Civil Rights Attorney (BigLaw Firms) professionals to contribute expertise to a client-focused project centered on civil rights law. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.


Scope of Work

  1. Analyze and interpret complex civil rights statutes, regulations, and case law for relevance and accuracy.
  2. Conduct in-depth legal research and draft written summaries, memos, or analyses highlighting key legal issues and precedents.
  3. Develop and review realistic civil rights scenarios, hypotheticals, and legal problems for use in AI model development.
  4. Evaluate and critique AI-generated legal analyses, providing expert feedback and ensuring adherence to legal standards.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts, address ambiguities, and ensure quality of inputs.
  6. Assist in creating clear, concise, and accurate legal content tailored to a variety of learning contexts.
  7. Identify emerging trends and potential areas of risk in civil rights law as they relate to AI and technology platforms.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
  2. Substantial experience practicing civil rights law, preferably with a background in prominent (BigLaw) firms.
  3. Strong track record of legal research, writing, and case law analysis in complex and high-stakes matters.
  4. Exceptional critical thinking skills and a keen attention to detail in both analysis and communication.
  5. Demonstrated ability to interpret statutes and policies, translating legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
  6. Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary or technology-driven environments.
  7. Interest in the intersection of law, policy, and emerging technologies, particularly AI and its societal impacts.
