Client Accounting Director

Our growing property management company in Western Connecticut is seeking an experienced and driven Client Accounting Director to lead our client accounting operations and deliver exceptional accounting and financial support to our diverse client portfolio.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing a team of five accounting professionals and managing the financial and accounting needs of 115 clients. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5 accounting employees.

· Oversee the financial and accounting activities for onboarding new clients and approximately 115 clients.

· Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

· Review and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.

· Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted financial resource.

· Coordinate workflow, establish priorities, and ensure departmental objectives are met.

· Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.

· Support management with financial analysis and strategic recommendations.

· Collaborate with other department directors and senior management on a daily basis.
