How you’ll contribute

The Clinic Manager supervises the day-to-day functions of the employed physician practices in the Frye Market in accordance with Federal, State and local standards/guidelines and regulations as well as Duke LifePoint policies and procedures.

A Clinic Manager who excels in this role:

  • The Market Manager will oversee market operations, and conduct daily interactions in a way that demonstrates a positive organizational attitude and effectiveness, and models the organizations Mission, Vision and Values

  • Manages the daily operation of the organization by creating and implementing policies and procedures.

  • Helps Market Director to develop organizational strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients.

  • Manage and direct the activities in the market practices including physician human resources requirements, customer service, patient satisfaction, financial analysis, business information systems, practice profile analysis and compliance with regulatory bodies

  • Ensuring effective on-boarding of new physicians and staff including the acquisition of space, procurement of supplies and equipment

  • Promotes practice initiatives such as referral management, TOS collections, and task management

  • Works closely with the Market Director to develop and implement goals and objectives for the market, and with physician leadership to identify new lines of business, additional streams of revenue, and new methods to mitigate costs

  • Works to ensure regulatory compliance with agencies such as OSHA, CLIA, DHS and others as appropriate

  • Obtains information needed for new provider state, federal, and commercial payor applications and recredential existing providers with insurance carriers

  • Ensures practice operations are consistent with budget.

  • Supervises front office collection process, collecting co-pays, deductibles and self-pay balances.

  • Works with Accounting and Billing Coordinator to ensure Revenue Cycle Guidelines are followed and all daily deposits and payments balance with hospital accounting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Ensures all providers utilize EMR to meet Quality program guidelines (i.e. MACRA CIN)

  • Monitors EOB denials in conjunction with billing staff and communicates findings back to the providers and billers.

  • Monitors and tracks physician paid time off and CME as it relates to the terms of their employment agreement.

  • Assists Market Director with the distribution of monthly reports such as financial reports, and other requested reports. Weekly financial/AR Summaries, Projections, AR Maps

  • Managing budgets of assigned practices which includes ordering office and medical supplies, salaries, and managing overtime.

  • Willing and able to travel to remote clinic sites

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years medical clinic Office Manager experience or 4+ years medical clinic Supervisor experience required, 5+ years working in a medical clinic

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, practice management, computer science, business, or related field Required.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
